Task is to write a short statement/poem that describe the concept of ‘LOVE’, ‘LIFE’, and ‘MAN or WOMAN’ to each picture.

This credit card represents Love or Life

"Life is Credit, Credit is Life Without this credit there's no Happy Life"

Clock will represent Happiness

"Happiness goes a long way and time will tell that forever it remain"

Chili will represent LOVE

"Green is Envy, Red is Lusty,
Hot as a Chili, Ripe like a bitchy
,
Love full of Jealousy is not tat SEXY
"

Ice cream will represent pain

"Heart ache of life is just like a melting vanilla"

Kitten and Chick represent Love & Pain

Beauty and The Beast,
Fur and Feather,
Love each other,

Forever remain together.

Lights represent Life

The emptiness of life is when the light goes shoddy,
brighten the life with happy and jingly,
Just like the love of live that don't go easily.

Lets play with NUMBERS!

This is the number given and we have to chose randomly and see which one will be the most odd combination and create a sentence based on the random word that we have selected.

So i chose 27, 18, 81. such a nice combination actually and let see what word will be created base on the number i have picked.

27 = Lighting Tree

18= Flower wood

81= Oil water

hmm.. lets see what sentence can I created from this word.

27 - There is a Lighting on that Tree

18 - That Flower is made out of Wood

81 - Oil float on top of Water

Combination of 2 & 7

Combination of 1 & 8

Combination of 8 & 1

From all these pictures I can actually see that there's an ART of it and is actually unique which is represented by their own physical features.

The most unique part of an ART is that, there is NO ONE single definition to it.

Mortar and Pestle

Friday, November 20, 2009

What can mortar and pestle represent in the year 3010?

This is one of the malay traditional "blender". It crushes herbs, chili, prawn paste ( belachan/ terasi) and many more ingredient for cooking. The ingredient that was crush will have a nice aroma and it will very finely crush and remain the taste of the herbs and spice.

In year 3010, archeologist find this thing underneath the ground. What could the next millenium generation may think of it?

1. It could be decoration in a house and everybody must have it.
2. One of the stonehenge stone that could stand on its own.
3. Accesories for the ladies such as hat and stick
4. As an ashtray crush with the pestle?!

decoration item? too fancy..

bits of the stonehenge wonders of the world? might be!

Gold ash tray?! hmm.. closely related. :)

Now we see that people in the year 3010 may have different thinking than us. They may not know the real purpose of mortar and pestle until they did their research. Well, year 3010 is a long way to go. Way to long that we are not around to see another millenium. However, grateful enough we are in the millenium of year 2000. Adding to that, archeologist now too still investigating on most artifacts they found in they year 1000 b.c and yet they could not have a clue on what is the stuff all about. They mostly guess and judge base on the drawing the found and the shape of the artifacts. Same applies to the next generation in the year 3010. Wish them Luck and all the best!

Can anybody explain what is the functions of these artifacts found by archeologist that was estimated created in the year 1000 b.c. Most of the archeologist have different perception and view towards this item and they might not know what is the purpose of this creation back then.

JUDGMENT RULE!

Juxtaposition

Definition: Simply stated, juxtaposition means placing things side-by-side. In art this usually is done with the intention of bringing out a specific quality or creating an effect, particularly when two contrasting or opposing elements are used. The viewer's attention is drawn to the similarities or differences between the elements.

Juxtaposition is a creative way to combine two unrelated concepts or objects and can result in some fun designs, images, logos and collages. We can choose from a whole range of mediums such as paper, computer art, fabric, different paints…… the list is endless. Let’s see some of the art of juxtaposition. Have fun with it.

here we can an uncanny resemblance with the flower and the gun. both of the graphic blend well with each other but at the same time its not related at all. However we can see that the two objects that are not closely related and have different meaning in more than one civilize opinion. overall we can see the wonders of juxtaposition to certain objects that may create conflict. Furthermore its the matter of having said that art is an subjective make it works wonders.

Same apply to this as we see coca cola try to impress public with different technique to win their customers by expressing the other part of coca cola that represent the world and culture surrounding. They have a lot of respect towards other people culture and use different approach to ensure that when they are trying to convey a message suing different kind of unrelated object it will be an eye catchy and people will see the soft part of coca cola contributing to their culture.

The more obvious form of Juxtaposition is from the animated Disney cartoon Beauty and the Beast. It really work as God have created that each individual have their own destiny and regardless of looks and appearance it actually the opposite attract that counts in this case. Furthermore we can see the Beauty of it. beauty and the best are not even closely related however they turn out to be wonders.

*Timeless classic by Disney that thought us to be more grateful, respect and accept each other as God have reasons to create us in this world.

Mind Mapping

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Mind Mapping is a useful technique that improves the way we take notes, and supports and enhances your creative problem solving. By using Mind Maps, we can quickly identify and understand the structure of a subject, and the way that pieces of information fit together, as well as recording the raw facts contained in normal notes. Developed by Tony Buzan, Mind Mapping is now widely recognized as the single most effective and versatile thinking and creativity tool and is used throughout the world.

Mind Maps are also useful for:

* Summarizing information.
* Consolidating information from different research sources.
* Thinking through complex problems.
* Presenting information in a format that shows the overall structure of your subject.

Each of the mind map will branch out ideas from the main point and keywords are created to simplify the whole information or text. In some case, icon or pictures are used to make it more interesting apart from using different colors. With all the features, it enhance the way student study and it will be more motivating and interesting. (http://www.mindtools.com)

Used of Keychain

This is the original idea of key chain and why it is invented is to holds key together so it won't get lost and one of the way people keep themselves organize and not loosing things.

Each of the key chain is design in various style and give more value and the idea of novelty where the design in unique, one of a kind have its own sense of appreciation.

But then again, today inventor become more creative and wanting to create something more than just a key chain thus creating something out of it which can be used in many ways but still it holds keys as the main aspects. This add in value of innovation and it is deem to be more useful than just a "key holder".

In the era of innovation, Key Chain become portable LED light bulb, watch and mini tool. This are only some of the example and there are so many more usage of key chain which have be innovate by creative innovators to make use of the key holder. It still have the main usage of key holder but with extra value.

Then again, key chain is becoming one of the most popular collectors item. And I actually collect it myself and have more than 200 key chain collection. Proud of it.

week 2

Novelty

From what I know and get to know this week NOVELTY is basically mean the quality of being novel; newness; freshness, something new, fresh, or unusual; change; innovation and a small, often cheap, cleverly made article. (http://www.yourdictionary.com/novelty).

From my own understanding and point of view, novelty is value of the work that is deemed to be very unique and have its own goodness. Developed by a creative person to generate new ideas and comes up with something that people could appreciate and how it may change and affect the surrounding or the culture basically. It is a freshness and originality making the item a 'novel' idea. Most of the times for an item, say, a toy/invention to be patented, they have to qualify under the 'novelty' category.

Apart from that, novelty can be very subjective and may caught different attention from different kind of people and they may judge it differently too. Some of the novel idea may change the world and actually effects the world and like wise goes to novelty ideas but only attract attention to certain community and social group.

Above all, novelty is the quality of being new and very abstract to an individual or a community as a whole.

Innovation

What is the importance of being innovative? We created product based on the existence of it and improve the product with different features and more added value to it. So fundamentally innovation requires additional new ideas to the current ideas and results to different feature to the products. It will be the same product but it has more additional value to it.
People try to be innovative and change something for the benefit of it, be it the cost or the material to build something. People also try to implement work in different aspect and research more on how to “modify” the current product so it will attract the attention of user or members of public. Another way of putting this is that an innovation lowers the costs and/or increases the benefits of a task. A wildly successful innovation increases the benefits to costs ratio to such an extent that it enables you to do something it seemed you could not do at all before or did not even know you wanted to do.

Invention

Back in the days, people invent based on what is surrounding them and they try to create something for their own benefit and prove to the world that something new is needed to enhance to current living. Inventing is fun and exciting and everyone can be an inventor. An inventor is someone who thinks of new ways to solve problems in the home, community, or even the world. These solutions are called inventions. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invention)

An invention may be a new product or a new way of doing things. Inventions come about in many ways. Most of the time, inventions happen because someone works to solve a problem. Sometimes inventions are the result of accidents. No matter how an invention is created it is important to keep careful records and document the invention process.

The Characteristic Test

Thursday, November 5, 2009

We had this question and answer test in class so i was interview my Nur Sharihan, a lovely girl from Pahang. And she interview me as well.

After a series of questionnaire she described me as an art or a painting.

I assume that painting or an art have many meaning and very subjective. One will can never judge and art work whether it is good or not. Art is one of the way artiste express their feeling may it be anger, happiness, sad etc. We can have so many different kind of art and yet it brings harmony and togetherness in the end product. Some art can be very sophisticated and hard to understand however that what make it unique and one of a kind.

This is what she had drawn.

Can anybody could actually define Monalisa painting? Is this legend actually a person that someone love? A mother? A serial killer? 00ppss... too much there. see, painting is one subjective matter and people will have different perception to it.

Defining Creativity

Define Creativity

Week 1

How do people define creativity? In my opinion creativity is very subjective and varies from one another opinion. We as a human being can be see creative in different ways and it can apply in every day aspects of our lives. We spend entire day doing creative thing that we may not aware of. But actually it is one of the things that involve in our life.

From the dictionary I found that Creativity (or creativeness) is a mental process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts, or new associations between existing ideas or concepts. From a scientific point of view, the products of creative thought (sometimes referred to as divergent thought) are usually considered to have both originality and appropriateness. An alternative, more everyday conception of creativity is that it is simply the act of making something new.

Creativity has been attributed variously to divine intervention, cognitive processes, the social environment, personality traits, and chance. It has been associated with genius, mental illness and humor. Some say it is a trait we are born with; others say it can be taught with the application of simple techniques. Although popularly associated with art and literature, it is also an essential part of innovation and invention and is important in professions such as business, economics, architecture, industrial design, and science and engineering.

Despite, or perhaps because of, the ambiguity and multi-dimensional nature of creativity, we have been taught from the pursuit of creative ideas and the development of creativity techniques. This mysterious phenomenon, though undeniably important and constantly visible, seems to lie tantalizingly beyond the grasp of scientific investigation.

This is one of the reference website I have gotten the idea from. Its really cool.
